Adam Brock

Welcome - and thanks for stopping out Yonder! I started this blog in January 2007 as a way to formulate and broadcast my ideas on the regeneration. These days, it serves as a record of my ongoing search for pockets of forest green in the concrete jungle.
I’m a recent grad of NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, with a concentration in Ecological Design. My studies included a semester of sustainable design at the Ecosa Institute in Prescott, Arizona, as well as a Permaculture design course with Andrew Faust.
While at Gallatin, I co-authored Greening the Urban Campus, the first comprehensive overview of sustainability at NYU, and became an active member of the newly-formed Sustainability Task Force soon thereafter. I managed the Green Arch environmental listserv and led several campus-wide initiatives, including Focus the Nation, Footprint Forward, and NYUnplugged.
Currently, I’m working to promote permaculture and urban agriculture in Brooklyn, tending to my garden, and working as a GIS specialist at the Pratt Center for Community Development.
